About Our Safety Cans

Safety Cans

Our Safety Cans range supports safe handling of flammable liquids and fuels with designs intended to reduce spills, vapour release and ignition risk. Type 1 Steel Safety Storage Cans are manufactured from 24 gauge, hot dipped, galvanised steel and feature a built‑in flame arrester to prevent ingress of spark or flame, a spring‑loaded filler cap with neoprene gasket, and a comfort‑grip trigger release. Construction uses no top or side seam, with a double‑interlocked bottom seam. These cans meet OSHA and NFPA Code 30 requirements and are FM, UL and ULC approved (funnels available).

For corrosion resistance and broad chemical compatibility, Type 1 Polyethylene Storage Cans are constructed from red/white HDPE with stainless steel metal fittings and flame arrestor. They are impact resistant, non‑corroding and impervious to many chemicals, solvents and corrosives (resistance charts available on request). These cans meet OSHA requirements and are Factory Mutual (FM) approved.

For laboratory environments, Polyethylene Lab Safety Cans are suitable for scientific, industrial and hospital laboratories and help reduce ignition risk from vapours. They use an oval shape for space conservation, HDPE construction with stainless steel fittings/flame arrestor, and are FM approved with OSHA compliance (e.g., OSHA 29 CFR1910.106). We also supply Polyethylene Waste Disposal Cans for temporary storage of liquid wastes with wide‑opening spouts that can be locked open for convenient emptying.

For controlled dispensing, Type 2 Dispensing Cans include flame arresters at filling and dispensing points and come complete with flexible metal spouts; Plunger Cans deliver measured amounts of flammable liquid to cloths or swabs via a spring‑mounted dasher with a perforated flash arrester, reducing vapours and evaporation losses. For fuel handling, our range includes specialist fuel cans and jerricans suitable for petrol, diesel and water (UN approved standards where specified).
